Ajloun, Aug. 6 (Petra)-- Ali Freihat - Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Sami Smeirat, on Thursday officially inaugurated the Government Services Center in Ajloun Governorate, in the presence of the governor, members of parliament representing the governorate, and local officials.
The center provides 167 government services delivered by 29 public institutions through an integrated service environment that enables citizens to complete a wide range of transactions in one location, helping simplify procedures while reducing the time and effort required to access government services.
During a tour of the facility, Smeirat reviewed the center's operations and service delivery mechanisms and met with employees and service recipients. He stressed the importance of maintaining the highest standards of operational readiness and efficiency while providing high-quality services that meet citizens' needs and expectations.
Smeirat said the Government Services Centers are among the flagship projects aimed at modernizing public services and represent a practical implementation of the Public Sector Modernization Roadmap. He noted that the centers provide integrated government services in a single location, streamline administrative procedures, and enhance the overall customer experience.
He added that the opening of the Ajloun center forms part of the government's strategy to expand access to public services and bring them closer to citizens across the Kingdom. Jordan's network of Government Services Centers now includes 16 centers distributed across various governorates, promoting equitable access to services and reducing the need for citizens to travel between government agencies or to other governorates to complete official transactions.
The minister emphasized that the center operates under a modern service delivery model focused on quality, simplified procedures, and integrated services, supported by qualified staff and advanced digital systems. The approach is designed to improve citizen satisfaction and strengthen government performance.
The center also offers extended operating hours, serving the public daily from 9:00 a.m. until midnight, allowing citizens to access services at times that better suit their schedules and enhancing the accessibility and continuity of government service delivery.
The opening is part of the implementation of the executive program for Jordan's Public Sector Modernization Roadmap and the Economic Modernization Vision, which aim to improve the efficiency of government services and promote a citizen-centered approach to public service delivery.
